High End Vegan recommendation

I need to find a Vegan restaurant for an important business associate. I am looking for something along the line of Candle Cafe in New York, which he is a fan of. Location needs to be downtown, as he will have limited time prior to a flight.

I am not a Vegan, so I appreciate any insight you can provide. Thank you.

Grezzo, in the North End: http://grezzorestaurant.com/boston/
It's vegan and high end...and it is also raw. I don't know whether that's a plus or minus in the eyes of your associate. I went soon after it opened, and found it more "interesting, how'd they do that" than "delicious." But I'm a vegetarian, not a vegan, and was fantasizing about the smell of melted cheese wafting through the North End air.

Second that - when I was on a fad "cleansing" diet for a week it was one of the only places I could eat, and one of the only ones that made food that actually tasted good. It was torture eating there with Umberto's so near by, but not as bad as my trip to Five Guys toting a salad.

Does not exist in beantown. That said I am sure any of the high end places would accomadate, particularly if you call ahead.

Perhaps I should mention that he is very "particular" and does not like to be "accomodated" at a regular restaurant, as he says this means he ends up with a steamed vegetable plate !
