ARNOLD COOKIES-IS MY MEMORY CORRECT?

Please help settle this-I believe that many years ago Arnold sold cookies in bags similar to the Pepperidge Farm bags except they were not as wide. Distinctly remember the lemon cookies. I'm 61 and my 57 year old brother concurs, BUT when I called Arnold the person I spoke with said Arnold never made cookies.

    1. According to this chowhound thread they did sell cookies called Arnold Cookie Pops :

        1. There definitely were Arnold's cookies sold in a slightly wider and squatter Pepperidge Farm type bag with a picture of a single cookie printed on the bag.

            1. I remember the cookies by Arnold's because I recently purchased a bag of which reminded me of the cookies. They are smaller and firmer but lemon taste is there. They are called Lemon Snaps by Stauffer's a Meiji company. i purchased cookies at Rossman's farm on 3rd ave in Brooklyn. The company has a website www.stauffercookies.com.

                1. They certainly did make cookies...my favorite where the chocolate...Even remember the jingle.."So when mom goes shopping out to say, Arnold cookies please today!"
Purchased in Queens,NY in the early '60's....they were delicious.
