Birthday Dinner - Male, 20's, American-ish food, fun

Hi All, Taking a guy out to dinner in LA (perhaps West Hollywood area? or within a 10 mile radius?) for his birthday.. There will be a few of us in our 20's and we'd like to go to a place that has great food and is a treat but also has a fun atmosphere.. Nothing romantic or overly sophisticated. Please help!
