Tips for Dining, Eating, and Food Shopping in Greater Chicago

Good, Cheap Eats near East Superior Street Off N. Michigan Ave

Coming in for the weekend with a group of 6 people. Would love some recco's on hole-in-the wall places with good eats. Two places I've heard I must go are Hot Doug's and mHenry for brunch (which are 10-min away by car). Are there places near where we are staying that are just as good or MUST go type places. Looking for lunch or dinner suggestions. THANK YOU!

    1. Not a hole-in-the-wall, but a good spot for a group. Quartino is on State & Ontario (5 minute walk). Italian small plates, lots of wines by the glass.

Thank you! I love the small plates and "lots" of wine by the glass. Sounds perfect! I'm mapping it out right now.

          • Just for the record, I would give myself 15 - 20 minutes to get to Hot Dougs or M. Henry from where you are. Maybe more around rush hours or during construction season. Googlemaps may disagree.
