        <content>I've been searching the net like crazy on where to find a Black Sapote (the chocolate pudding fruit) in SC.  I gotta get some!  Any help is appreciated...</content>

      <content>Several of the southeast asian stores were carrying them here in Montgomery months ago. They may be out of season now. I know that I've been getting some great mamey sapotes here lately though. It says here you may be able to get some larger varieties now, but I have only seen the small, cue ball sized ones.

Most black sapotes in Florida ripen in December, January or February. Certain trees, especially the large-fruited types, regularly come into season in June, others in July and August.
