What's good near the Landmark Sunshine movie theater?

I'm looking for an inexpensive-to-moderate ($75 for two, max), casual restaurant near the Landmark Sunshine. We like all cuisines, a bar would be a plus, but mostly we like low-key, un-cramped, places. TIA

L'il Frankies on 1st Avenue, 1 block north of the theater. A quick walk across Houston. Excellent food, menu offerings, and service. Thin crust pizza and great other choices of pasta and entrees, sides, and desserts. Have dined here numerous times in the past 3 years, with parties large and small, at lunch and at dinner, and the food has consistently been great!

So where did you end up?

I ended up grabbing food at Bereket, a Turkish kebob place on Houston. I was able to bring the food into the theater, which was necessary because I was very tight on time. The food was actually quite tasty and I would certainly return (at least for take out).

Really, it sounds like the place you guys want(ed) is (was) Veselka. It's a great Eastern-European diner. Nice sit-down place, but you really can't describe it as a diner. It's basically a restaurant with some ethnic stuff (and by 'some ethnic stuff' I mean kickass pierogen) and good upscale diner food (pancakes at 5am, anyone?). It's on the corner of 2nd and 12th, I believe. Sometimes it is crowded, though.

I am going to Landmark movie theater for a 7:30pm show tonight. Anyone have a suggestion for a place nearby where I can grab some food "to go" to bring in to the theatre?

Agree about the Elephant. And so close, just across that little park to the north of the theater. Also love Frankie's on Clinton St. and Little Giant on Orchard St. Both are small with cool, individualistic menus.

Elephant - a thai place w/ interesting cocktails; on 1st St across Houston from Landmark.

Prune. Inoteca. 2 places on Orchard, I think Georgia BBQ and Somethin French Bistro.

The two on Orchard are probably Georgia's East Side BBQ and Zuccola French Diner. All the suggestions sound good. Thanks a lot.
