Manhattan Spanish ( not a tapas bar ) midtown/uptown?

I'm planning an anniversary dinner in October. We're going to the Opera. I am looking for the best Spanish in town that is NOT a crowded loud tapas bar though we do love them. Anything near the Met Opera House? Price not n issue though we don't seek high end for high ends sake, just excellent Spanish cuisine and more importantly, authentic. I seem to remember a newish midtown place?

Are you thinking of La Fonda del Sol? I haven't been so can't comment on the food.
