Dinner cruise around Centre Island- good food!

TOchowgal Aug 26, 2009 05:32 AM

I have out of town guests, a couple that would like to go on a dinner cruise around Centre Island. They love good food and would love a live band if that is possible, but good food is important. Buffet style works.

They will be here for the long weekend coming up. Any suggestions?

If no one suggests a suitable dinner-cruise solution, perhaps consider taking them to the Rectory on Ward's Island? The food is acceptable (it's not fine dining, but it's way more than a cut above the hamburgers and fries available on Centre Island), the service is friendly, and the setting is beautiful. You could go for a stroll around the residential community on Ward's and Algonquin Island. That would make a lovely evening, and they'd see a part of Toronto that they might not otherwise visit.
