Escape at DC Ranch - Scottsdale, AZ

ejs1492 Aug 25, 2009 08:45 PM

Okay, does anyone know anything about "Escape," a new Mediterranean restaurant/lounge at DC Ranch Marketplace in Scottsdale? The description on their site was so comical I nearly choked. "Mediterranean playboys?" "Dancing on tables?" "Known for.."...they've been open a week!

Yet despite all this silliness, I have heard good things about the food.

Okay, let loose with all the Scottsdale stereotypes (many of which, sadly, are true) but does anyone know anything about this place?

The web site is www.escapedcranch.com

Thanks,
EJS.

Is that the former Blue Wasabi location?

I think Banzai Cowboy is in the former Blue Wasabi location...

Yes it is. And, yes, DC Ranch is a ghost town. I still like Eddie Vs and Armitage, though....

Heard that Banzai Cowboy closed in the last week (or so). Havent confirmed that though.

I know nothing of this place, but I love the domain name. I think a lot of people have been looking to escape DC Ranch lately.

Was on Market Street the other night and it was scary quiet. That place is in deep trouble.

It's basically immediately north of the Fleming's there. I walked by there last week & there was a small group on the patio with some sort of water pipe. Otherwise, looked dead. I actually didn't even know they were supposed to have food -- thought it was just a club of some sort.

(Not to thread hijack, but this reminds me I need to start a thread on Banzai Cowboy -- really good!!)
