Tips for Dining, Eating and Food Shopping in the Tristate Area

Need new brunch places around Westchester/Fairfield!

Looking for new brunch places to try around Westchester/Fairfield. We seem to be stuck in a brunch rut and every week it's usually Valencia Luncheria, IHOP, Lakeside Diner, or some random bakery/cafe. We're looking to try Meli-Melo and Chocopologie Cafe next. Any other suggestions? We are coming from Stamford so something within 15-20 minutes would be ideal. Also not interested in more expensive or buffet type brunches. Thanks!

Just tried Chocopologie Cafe yesterday for brunch. Pretty good crepes and reasonably priced. Any other brunch suggestions welcome! We were going to try Lolita in Greenwich but they apparently stopped serving brunch because it didn't do well. Do any of the Port Chester places serve brunch?

I wouldn't see lolita as a brunch place. more of a night time resto. Yeah i don't know what wincountygirl is getting at??

I think she may have been referring to Panera and Cracker Barrel...at least that's what I thought when I read the post about them...

                            Cracker Barrel?!

                            • In Port Chester, Sonora is now serving Brunch as is Nessa. We have tried both for brunch in the last month, and were very satisfied.

We also like Backstreet in Darien for brunch. None are buffets.

We were really impressed with Sonora's brunch.

                                  • In Black Rock (Bridgeport) there is a place Lady Luck that serves a pretty robust brunch - great bloody mary's too!

In Westport there is a place called Dunville's. They are rumored to have a good brunch and are in no shortage of mimosas or any other drink.

I know you said no buffet brunch, but for the others here, The Brewhouse in SoNo is an incredible bargain at $25-ish. And no, I'm not saying that tongue in cheek; their buffet has anything, for anyone. The mimosas are included in the price, which had me at hello...

Napa at the Marriott serves brunch. I haven't been, but have heard good things.

The Flying Pig in Mt. Kisco does a nice buffet.

And if you feel like splurging, there's always the Castle in Tarrytown!

                                              1. re: shaiken

I've only been to brunch at Napa once, with visiting relatives, and I wasn't blown away by it. It's more a lunch and dinner spot, and pricey for brunch as I recall.

                                            • Sunset Cove in Tarrytown does a decent brunch buffet. Nice views too of the river.
