First Time in Pittsburgh

  • 5

I'll be taking my first trip out to Pittsburgh and was wondering what some good restaurants were. I know that's really vague, but I'm curious to see what people like. I'm pretty much into whatever and like to have a good and memorable experience.

Let us know where you go! (we are partial to Legume when we go to the burgh)

we kind of ran out of time and ended up eating at this little sports bar across the street from the baseball stadium. it ended up being a really great place though, the usual bar/pub food had some great flavors. I'm blanking on the name but it was a Mcullughs or something along those lines. They had these things called "onion straws" that were out of this world and their club sandwich was perfect. I got to see a lot of the city though, driving around, and I was really impressed. I'm looking forward to heading out there again and getting more of a culinary experience

      1. It's kind of a touristy thing to do but I would highly recommend parking at Station Square and taking the incline up to Mount Washington. There are some very good restaurants up there with great views of the city. Some say it's one of the best views in the country. The Monongahela Incline is directly across the street from Station Square and takes you to an area with a couple of bars and restaurant called the Shiloh. It's good, but dosen't have a view. The Duquesne Incline is visable from Station Square (about 1/2 mile, toward the point) and takes you to a place on Mount Washington with several very good restaurants, all with a beautiful view. Have fun and enjoy your stay!
