Thanksgiving Dinner in Sonoma? party of 16, ideas? price range~$50/head?

Hi there (new to CH)
My family and I will all be visiting Sonoma for the week of Thanksgiving and I'm tasked w finding a restaurant willing to feed us turkey dinner. 16 of us, with 2 small kids. Plan on trying lots of the rec'd restaurants in town in smaller groups throughout the week, but need to all be together for Thanksgiving dinner/later lunch. Staying at the BW in town. Any suggestions on this crazy holiday when I'm not sure many places will be open? Thanks!

  1. I'm not 100% certain, but I suspect that both Girl and the Fig and the El Dorado Kitchen will be open, since they're located in hotels, and either should do a nice dinner and would be walking distance to your hotel. EDK could be nice, because they have a large group table that would work for you.

There's also a restaurant at the Lodge of Sonoma, Carneros Bistro, that receives good reviews, and again will probably be open for the holiday, and certainly something at the Fairmont. If their more casual restaurant is serving, it should fit within your price range.

Some of the smaller, independent restaurants might be open, but hotel restaurants tend to be the best bet for holidays. Your biggest issue might be finding something in your price range.

    Good luck!

    1. In addition to the three restaurants mentioned by cyberroo, last year Estate and Saddles served Thanksgiving dinner. this article from the Sonoma Sun newspaper will give you an idea of prices and menus. (Note that Deuce is closed, replaced by Emmy's Spaghetti Shack.)

I'm assuming you mean the city of Sonoma. EDK is probably a great choice. So is Estate. In November opentable has a list of restaurants serving Thanksgiving dinner so you might check back then.
