I went last month during the week on a relatively quiet night. My friend and I shared a number of plates and we were not impressed one bit. The owner also owns Bistro 7 so I had high expectations. I remember the food being bland and not worth the money. They kept using the same overly sweet dipping sauce for the dishes. The highlight of the evening was getting ice cream at Ritas. It's just too bad that Sovalo closed since I loved that place.

I agree. We ate there a few weeks ago and felt the food was very uninspired -- you would do better to eat at one of the better restaurants in Chinatown -- and pay a lot less.

Didn't it just open this week? How mixed could it be? It sounds like a fun place. I'm planning to give it a try when I can get there.
