Best place for take out korean banchan for a DIY Korean BBQ?
I'm doing some Korean BBQ at my house...unfortunately I don't have time to make all of the banchan. Does anyone have a favorite place to buy a nice assortment of banchan - I was thinking a takeout place, but I suppose I could also get from a restaurant. K-town preferred.
Thanks!

Banchan a la carte on Western is nice and has better quality stuff than most of the markets. They have the usual traditional stuff as well as some fusion-y stuff - slightly "updated" banchan with fresher/brighter flavors. And you can order ahead if you want large quantities. As far as markets go, I think they're all about the same in terms of quality/asssortment but I do like Galleria the best out of the bunch because it seems cleaner - but that probably has more to do with lighting than anything else...

There's a korean market in Glendale that has a long open bar of banchan and you scoop as much or as little as you want into containers and pay for it by weight. I think it's off Pacific off the 134. I know you said k-town preferred, but I was kind of impressed by the variety they had.
