FYI ... 30% off wine sale (UWS)

LNG212 Aug 24, 2009 10:20 AM

I know many threads have come up where people mention discounts on their wine purchases. We too like the case discounts sometimes offered. We like this store a lot for our every day purchases. So I figured I'd pass this information along:

Columbus Wines & Spirits
on Columbus Ave between 95th & 96th Sts.
This is the blurb from their email:

**From now until Labor Day Monday, September 7th wine lovers who mix and match any 12 or more bottles in the store will SAVE 30% off every regularly priced still (non-sparkling) wine. Choose from our wide ranging selection of everyday favorites and hard-to-find-gems. **

**In addition, this is a great time to stock up on spirits as we are offering a 10% discount when you mix and match any of your six favorite spirits. **

Sounds great, especially if you happen to be throwing a Labor Day party too!

nice tip, lng. i haven't stopped by this store in ages -- not since my sister moved away and we stopped picking up her everyday jumillas and vinho verdes, there -- but this sounds like it's worth a look. thanks. :)

Cimui, I know they do delivery. But I'm not sure of their delivery zone or if they charge (since we live around the corner!). They often have good stuff so it might be worth a look for you.

The funny thing is that even if I'm too lazy to walk to a restaurant up that way at times, I'm almost always up for schlepping a case of wine the seven or so blocks home. I consider it weight training. ;)
