Where is closest place to find bottled can sugar Cheerwine in Triangle
Having a pulled pork and rib bbq this weekend and would like to serve the real Cheerwine. Has anyone purchased the bottled cane sugar Cheerwine in the Triangle area? Appreciate any help as this is my favorite drink choice with BBQ other than Wittekerke, which I also cannot find for purchase. Edit topic should say cane sugar
Merritt's Store & Grill on S.Columbia in Chapel Hill carries it. I haven't seen it too many places in the Triangle.
We had some at our wedding this summer, and we bought it direct from cheerwine:

I think I've seen it at the Farmers Market in Raleigh. There is a shop in the enclosed area what has Blenheim's and other sodas that are hard to find. Sorry I can't be positive - I drink soda so seldom that I didn't check it out to that degree.

The Harris Teeter chain carries it.

Which one? I've never seen the glass bottle longneck Cheerwines at any HT.

I looked at all the groceries including HT and cannot find any of the longneck bottles. If anyone has any more suggestions please share. I will make a trip to CH if there is none discovered in Raleigh.

Call the Cheerwine distributor near Greensboro at 1 800 419 1098. They should be able to help you.

A little late for my bbq, but I did locate the sugar cane bottled Cheerwine at the Farmers Market, good call meatn3. Also, you can get sugar cane bottled Cheerwine, Mt. Dew and Dr. Pepper from a bottling distributor in West Jefferson, NC. They sell directly to the public during the week, 15.75 for a case.

Glad they had it!

Where is the farmers market and bottling distributor? Are both in West Jefferson? I'm traveling from Ohio to do a Cheerwine run this weekend and would like to pick up a couple cases of the bottles. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

most grocery stores west of winston should have it on the shelf. If you just want a few bottles many convenience stores have to glass bottled cheerwine - definitely in most shell gas stations in this part of the world

the farmer's market is in Raleigh close to downtown off of Lake Wheeler Road. The are a couple of buildings. Cheerwine is in the enclosed building, second building on your Right from the turn in.
I found a link in Chowhound for the restaurant that is there which if you have a GPS or something will get you to the market. It is open every day. The restaurant is on the left hand side of Farmer's Drive while the Cheerwine building is on the right.
Good luck.
