Buffalo to Cedar Rapids - - 90 and 80 - - Lunch in Cleveland and beyond
We have a drive coming up to see Grandma. Any food suggestions would be appreciated. Also trying to think of a place to stop midway through if anyone has any suggestions. We stopped in South Bend on a prior trip to peak at Notre Dame. Thanks for any thoughts.
Best choices for a delicious lunch in downtown Cleveland: Greenhouse Tavern, Crop, Lola. Near to Downtown is Asiatown where there are many wonderful choices (and free parking): www.clevelandasiatown.com. Also in Asiatown is Slymans, home of some fabulous corned beef and other goodies.

Superior Pho would make a good lunch. The banh mi are terrific.
El Tango is one of Cleveland's best restaurants. I always recommend that people try the green chile stew on their first visit but everything is excellent. Two people can split the wonderful fajitas. Tacos are great.
El Tango isn't creative Mexican but it isn't exactly like walking into a taqueria in Mexico. Much closer is La Mexicana in Painesville. Great tacos, quesadillas, salsas, aguas frescas.
Buckeye Beer Engine has lots of good food. Again, the soup is usually worth ordering. The tomato soup on the menu is good. I usually get a hamburger. Flavorful patty on a nice bun. Many variations but my favorite is just a cheeseburger.
The pictures are all from La Mexicana: agua de tamarindo, pork and tongue taco, chicken poblano quesadilla and pork quesadilla.
