Perfect Weekend Afternoon Experience in Seattle (esqe)
I was taken on a wonderful 25 mile bike ride yesterday along the Sammamish River from Redmond north to the top of Lake Washington. On the way back, we stopped at the Redhook Brewery (which is right next door to the famed Herb Garden and Barking Frog). In the back of this mammoth brewery is a charming beer garden with picnic tables and a bar menu. After a long ride on a hot summer day, the nachos were great, but better yet were their tap beers: we had the Triple Belgian, which I swear if I had been blindfolded, I would have thought was White Label Chimay. I would have never bought a Redhook in a bottle, but their beers there, the hand crafted ones that were treated in barrels (sorry I don't know the venacular for beer, I'm reallly a wine person) and with "nitro" were INCREDIBLE. Anyway, while the summer still lasts in Seattle, it's a lovely day.
