St Louis MO Recommendations
I am planning my first trip to St Louis MO in November. We are from NJ so I would like to avoid Italian which we have a lot of at home :). I will be travelling with my 14 YO son. We will be staying at the Hilton President in the Power and Light area. We will not have a car. We like steaks, BBQ and Chinese and are open to other ideas. I would like to avoid chains and over priced tourist traps.
I would appreciate any suggestions. Thanks in advance.

Hey dawnj...correct me if I am wrong, but I think the Power and Light area is actually in Kansas City...if you ARE coming to St. Louis I'll be happy to float some ideas at you!

I'll be flying in from Los Angeles on Sept 5th for the Tour of Missouri and would love some suggestions while I'm in town! Any recs for along the route would be most welcomed too...

I think the combo of Hilton President and Power and Light means that you are going to KC, which, of course, is BBQ heaven. Check the many, many earlier posts on that subject.
