Blowfly is terrific. Visually it's very different postKatrina due to the elevation but the
gators are still there and food is great. Their signature plastic flies are an endangered species as they can't get them anywhere at the old price.....so go soon if you want one!

Blowfly is on Bayou Bernard, which has an annual Christmas of the Bayou boat parade. It's usually 2nd Sat in Dec. Watching it from the Blowfly or The Dock is awesome.

Keep in mind that there still postKatrina infrastructure construction all over the coast, so travel with GPS & maps.

Yes, it is a great casual dining spot. The food is really good, and the view is even better now. It is no longer BYOB, and it gets very crowded on the weekends! But I still love it!

I love the Blowfly- even have a t-shirt! I really enjoyed the ambiance of the old place when it just sat there on the side of the bayou and you could watch mullet jumping and gators swimming by around sunset. Now they are still on the bayou, but being 40 feet up in the air gives things a different perspective! But hopefully, they will never again have to worry about storm surge, and every time we go the food just gets better and better...
