It's gonna be a long time before I eat anything from Satriale's again...LOL Sorry, couldn't resist.
But seriously, you either have to go to Dante's or Arthur Avenue. There used to be a real good Italian pork store near the city line in Yonkers, but for the life of me....sorry.

Are you referring to Satriale's, the fictional pork store in The Sopranos where human remains frequently found their way through the meat grinder? If so, I hope there is no equivelent in Westchester! Absent travelling down to Arthur Ave, I find the sausage (and other meats) at Cole's in Montrose very good.

re: bdr
Are you talking about the roast pork that is rolled up and seasoned and sometimes stuffed? I have not seen it anywhere around Westchester. I have seen spelled as Porchetta in different parts of the country. The owner of Dante's should know about it...maybe not the counter help though...

Unless you are up in the Goldens Bridge area, making it impractical, you can't be more than 15-30 mins from the real deal, on Arther Ave in the Bronx...I make it from Darien in about 30-35 mins...
The place you seek is Calabria Bros, on the southern part of the street, east side.
If you are south or White Plains, its probably as quick to go there as almost anywhere else that has a similar vibe. -
Dante's on Central Ave on the Hartsdale/White Plains border may be able to fill the Satriales's void. That or A & S Pork Store in Yonkers (Highridge Plaza) and Thornwood.
