  1. I have passed this place so many times and I always thought it was another Chinese restaurant!! That name does nothing for the place.

I have not tried, but really have no desire, by the looks of that menu. I wish them luck..especially in Woodbridge.

Not sure what you mean by "especially in Woodbridge"...

The name and place definitely needs some advertising and description.

Under the bridge means "under the train bridge".

Hi nyebaby! I meant with "especially in Woodbridge", that there are sooooo many restaurants and chains that how does anyone compete with all those restaurants? I did not mean in in a negative way, it just seems every time I am in Woodbridge, a new place opens..like that Kona place on RT.1.

I do wish them luck and success!

    2. Why is it called Under the Bridge Woodbridge ?

      It's in Staten Island !

If you scroll down, you will see that the website states the following:

"BREAKING NEWS: Another PK's is opening in Woodbridge, NJ in the spring of 2009. The new PK's will be located at 51B Main Street, Woodbridge, NJ 07095 in the heart of downtown and across from the NJTransit station."

They should call the Woodbrige location "PK's Across the Bridge." Actually, to be entirely accurate, "*Two* Bridges."

      2. My girlfriend and I tried this place about a month or so ago. At best it was simply unremarkable. I had a hamburger that was mediocre. They claim its fresh chop meat but it lacked the flavor of fresh beef; no fries came with the platter; the cole slaw (usually a favorite of mine w/ any platter) was not edible; and the pickle was "limp". My girlfriend had the Buffalo chicken wrap and it was basically a wrap with "orange" sauce on it - it had no kick or flavor; again the cole slaw was not good and her pickle was "limp."

We both found it extremely odd that he place had been open for about two weeks or so but did nothing to promote the fact that it was open(ing). I passed it every day heading to work and there was never any indication it opened. Honestly, there is no indication now as I never see anyone in there. Shame too, as it had a diverse menu.

Like I said, just an unremarkable lunch. The inside was nice and clean. The staff was extremely eager and very polite.

I just dont see how the place is going to last though...as I mentioned I never see anyone in there in the morning. The place isnt open for dinner so I hope they do a better lunch crowd.

Would I return? I dont know. To me, it just didnt seperate itself from the Rio Diner up the street.

I have not been but PK have to agree regardless, hard to compete for a burger with "THE" diner a block up the street, and "THE" brewery 10 feet the other way. Woodbridge MAIN ST is struggling someone albeit there are several good restaurants on it, no chains. I've been to several Town Hall meetings; without getting political the current regime is trying to beef things up (no pun intended) but at given the economy and demographics (extremely family oriented and working class town), a chain on main would help i.e., dunkin donuts (even though Wdge Township has 11 or 12...), a starbucks, etc. in addition to some high end stores -- again competely with the 2 town malls...
