Live Lobster in Durham/Chapel Hill or Raleigh
Does anyone have any suggestions on where to buy live lobsters in the Triangle (NC)?
I know I need to check at Fishmongers in Durham and Squids in Chapel Hill, but I'm wondering if there are other places as well.

Although the retail store at Squids is long-closed, if you call the restaurant, a couple of days ahead, or even the day before, they will sell you anything they have on hand or on order. I've been buying live lobsters from them that way for a few years. And with no overhead, the prices are good.

At times Grand Asia in Cary has had lobster at a more or less reasonable price. They don't always have them, though.

Absolutely worth the trip. The fish counter has a great selection at good prices and most of the staff on that counter speak English. The bakery's fun, and the rice box at the cafeteria is an insanely good deal. On the weekends they have something like 25 different choices on the steam table. Produce is well priced and the assortment of groceries is good. Not so much for Japanese or Korean, but terrific for Chinese. I love the place.
