Where to buy fresh grape leaves?

I am going to attempt to make dolmades (stuffed grape leaves) and am wondering if there is a store in the Torrance-ish area that sells fresh grape leaves. Alternatively, I know some stores sell jar grape leaves, but I want to try first with the fresh leaves.

Any store recommendations? Also, what is the approximate cost for fresh grape leaves?

I would try Jons Marketplace-they have a great selection of middle eastern produce/products. I've always found that jarred grape leaves in brine are easier to work with when making dolmas, though. Last time I went to Jons they had a huge jar for about three bucks. Happy cooking-those suckers aren't easy!

I was going to recommend Pacific Market in Glendale while in season.

But, given you location, many Armenian and Greek places will either have them or know where to get them.

You might be able to find them frozen somewhere - check online.

Wholesome Choice in Irvine may have them.

It's a little late in the season for young grape leaves, which is what you want for this purpose. Sorry to disappoint you but you might have to use canned this time of year.
