Stovetrotters Bistro in Asheville - A Culinary DELIGHT!!!

  • 2

Just got done with an out of this world meal at Stovetrotters in Asheville. Really neat set up that they have there... The kitchen is in the middle of the restaurant - the owner (Jenny) in which i had opportunity to meet while she was doing rounds checking on the guests explained that it was a demonstration kitchen... More or less american style hibachi without the knives flying in every direction. They have organic gardens on site from which the majority of their herbs and vegetables come from. The pace with service tends to be slow from what I noticed (only down side.) Although if you are not in a rush it can be a welcomed aspect of the dining experience. Our server was friendly and the food could not have been more innovative and delicious. I am wondering if anyone else has tried this "hidden gem" and if so what there feelings were.

  1. Been there, done that and loved it!!! I posted on Stovetrotters about a year ago. It has gotten some positive feedback on this board, but not a lot of buzz. I'm glad you liked it.

Glad im not the only one... I was thoroughly impressed. I just checked them out on tripadvisor.com and it seems that they are at #12 (rightfully so.) That should help them some. I should probably write a review on there as well as they need all the help they can get. They were pretty slow tonight and from talking to them it seems that they have been relatively slow - probably due to the lack of street visibility - i suppose no one wonders - whats next to that gas station in the village???
