Looking for good Texan, BBQ and Tex-Mex in San Antonio

Hi folks!

I'll be in San Antonio for several days next week at a conference and am looking for some good options for dinner near the Grand Hyatt hotel. It has to be within walking distance as I won't have a car, but I'm a ground pounder so I'm willing to walk up to 45 minutes in any direction for some good chow.

I'm never down this far south so I'm looking for stuff that's very texan in nature.. so I'm thinking steaks, bbq, tex mex.. other suggestions are good also.

I don't need to eat on the riverwalk (and I hear it's very touristy anyway).. i'm looking for good local spots.
