I never had Simon's experience at Fish, but have only been 4 or 5 times, 2 of those in April. I've never been in when it's been particularly crowded and never had problem with service. But if you can afford it, Pearl and Mary's are superior places, no question. Any good Chinese restaurant will serve delicious whole fish dishes. Also, good Italian or Greek restaurants serve excellent fish dishes. I know Kefi is for whatever reason controversial here, but I like their Branzino very much. Uncle Nick's should be reliable, too, and cheaper.
