Bubbala's Still Best Food in P-Town - The Bookstore and Restaurant Wellfleet
Hit Bubala's today for lunch. Huge, perfect lobster roll, toasted buttered bun, awesome fish sandwich great fries. They even had a sauteed hot buttered (hmmm where did B&G get the idea) lobster roll option we did not try. Price for both very generous sandwiches was $27.
I have eaten here for years during day trips. Year after year, consistently the best place to eat in P-Town. Others come and go, or often miss the mark, this place delivers.
Also hit the The Bookstore and Restaurant in Wellfleet, and it also has been around for years and continues to deliver. The only restaurant I know of in MA that has their own oyster and clam beds so you know they are local and good.
We had an amazing linguini with scallops, lobster, and clams (not exactly on the menu as we substituted away the shrimp for lobster.) I also had a rather respectable lobster poor boy as well.
Oh, and a side note, the Governor Bradley in P-town is doing $1 oysters from 3-5pm daily, or at least was yesterday. They were meaty, fresh, and good.

Went to Bubbala's last Friday night and had a great meal. The server Jim was great also. We have 2 girls 6 and 7 and he made us feel right at home. He even brought us dessert on the house so the kids kept busy while my husband and I enjoyed another drink. I had the tuna cooked to a perfect MR with brown rice and snap peas that tasted just as good served cold the next day. My 6 yr old had the steamers which were a huge portion and they were perfect and large in size with absolutely no sand. And the fish and chips were not like any I have had before. It tasted as though they had sesame or something in the batter which everyone loved. My husband had cod in parchment and he loved it also. All of that food plus drinks and an app came to 140. A great price for a memorable meal that we will not forget.
Another place we like to go to is the Squealing pig. Although we did not eat there this year (we just hung out and had some drinks) the food is always good and there is never a wait. We were there 3 nights in a row with kids in tow to just sit and people watch and have drinks in the front window and the waitress was awesome. We even got to sit with the bearded lady from bearded lady piercing one night! -
Just wanted to mention that it is the Governor Bradford, not Bradley. Otherwise, great post.

I've eaten at Bubbala's for years, always lunch, always good. large portions, fresh food, innovate flavors/combos and just a happy spot. it's hard to be grumpy eating at Bubbala's.
I had one ho-hum meal at The Bookstore years ago, but it seems to be a CH favorite--I will have to revisit. thx for the review!
