Brunch at Aquavit

Any thoughts on the Sunday buffet?
Price seems right but wondering if the food is actually any good. I generally don't have a bias against buffets.
Thanks!

    1. I generally detest buffets of any kind. But I relented and we went to Aquavit's buffet. I highly recommend it for anyone who especially likes herring (huge variety), salmon, and smoked fish as I do. They were outstanding. There were also salads, a soup, a few hot dishes (disappointing), and a dessert table (didn't try anything). If you're looking for standard breakfast foods, you won't find them here.

I found them unique and delicious. Unlike RGR, I was lucky and they had the swedish meatballs on the buffet when I went and I love them. As stated, all the fish dishes were great. Desserts were good too. Definately a thumbs up.

Actually, seal, the Swedish meatballs were on the hot buffet. Mr. R. and I always had them whenever we had lunch at the AQ Cafe in the Scandanavia House (AQ Kafe is now near Columbus Circle) because they were so sensational. Unfortunately, the small portion I sampled at the smorgasbord was very disappointing.
