Dinner for 40 in San Diego

My son is getting married in January. Can anyone suggest a place for a very casual meal for some family. About 40 people, casual, relatively inexpensive. Thanks

Cathy brings up a good point on parking.
I'll throw in Tender Greens in Liberty Station..excellent food for about $12+ pp..they have a large parking lot.
Pizza Nova is really good too.

Tender Greens is a good idea. I saw a notice they will be closed on August 22 for a private party and thought that would be a nice place with great food for a celebration..

I was more thinking getting married in Escondido or La Jolla or Balboa Park and then getting only suggestions for places to eat in downtown...

I forgot about Pizza Nova! I'll second that suggestion. Their menu is very appropriate for family style dining.

The Point Loma location has a nice second floor room that is just right for private parties. Nice view from up there too.

Where is he getting married? You don't want to have 15+ cars looking for parking after driving 30 minutes...

The Prado in Balboa Park

I will get rotten tomatoes for this one, but Buca De Beppo in the Gaslamp is inexpensive, and is designed to handle a large crowd.

The Fish Market on Harbor, and for that matter, Anthony's on Harbor.
