Last time there were some great deals and some not so great. Waiting for website to list those. Then it's on like Donkey Kong.

Can anyone offer suggestions where to go? Because none of the above pique my interest.

Hard to say w/o seeing the menu, but the ones I've been to and would glady go again would be The Old Vine Cafe, Zov's Bistro, Royal Khyber, Stonehill Tavern and Taps.

The ones we haven't been to, but might be worth a try are Mozambique, Summit House and Sundried Tomato.

          Hi OCAnn,

Thanks for the info! :) Bummed that Marche Moderne isn't on there, but they're pretty fairly priced already (like their $20 Lunch Set) that it doesn't matter that much I suppose. :)

As I understand, the list isn't complete & so there's a chance that MM might still sign on.... =)

Boo hoo. Still no MM; but Old Vine which is nearby is just as good (if not better)....

              Here's where we went:

Mon: SUMMIT HOUSE for their $40 3-course dinner. Prime rib was good, not great. Decent creamed spinach, better creamed corn. Service was prompt. For some reason, I'm not enamoured w/this place; not likely to return...although it is good to decent.

Tue: TSURUHASHI. Although they weren't part of the OC RW, they have a $25ish meat platter Mon-Thu that serves 2-3. It was good, but it's better to stick to their Kobe/Prime menu selection. While an hour is the average wait time on weekends w/o reservations, you can walk in most weekdays and be seated immediately w/o reservations.

Wed: MELTING POT for their $30 3-course of cheese, broth & chocolate fondues. After Tsuruhashi, Mr OCAnn got on the cook-yer-own meal kick. What's great about this place is that you can ask for additional bread (for the cheese fondue), veggies (for the broth fondue), and desserts (for the choc fondue) w/o extra charge. While we easily spend more than $100 for two here during non-RW, we walked out slightly <$80 for two.

Unfortunately, our schedules don't allow to do it the rest of the week. Looks like the Old Vine's $40 3-course menu is served during non-RW on Tue, Wed & Thu, so if you don't make it this week, there's always another week....
