Thinking about grilling some lobsters for a dinner party on Friday, but wondering if I need to drive all the way to Chinatown (I live in Venice) to get them for a good price. Any suggestions?

If you are going to Redondo, check out Captain Kidds. I had lobster from there a few weeks ago & they were very good. They were about 1-1/2 lbs & were under $20 each. We had them cook them & then just picked them up & they split them & cracked all the claws too. I don't know what the uncooked ones go for.

Your best bet is going to be Chinatown or an Asian market like 99 Ranch.
I've seen them in Monterey Park this week starting at $5.95/lb. for the smaller Maine lobsters
