Robert Oliver's Seafood Restaurant?

Have any of you Chowhounds dined there? I perused the website menu. It doesn't appear to be anything unusual. Nothing to motivate me to drive downtown and spend a fortune to park, just to dine out.

And, once again, another CHAIN retaurant. I have nothing against chain restaurants per se, but it would have been inspiring to see a local restauranteur fill the space with a personal twist on the Baltimore cuisine scene. FoiGras

Why do you say it's a chain restaurant? I haven't been able to find any evidence of any other restaurants with that name elsewhere.

And it's not well-run enough to be part of a viable chain.

LOL, that is a fact -- service was spotty at best.

I stand corrected. The person who informed me of the restaurant said that it was part of a chain. That Oliver had a restaurant in Vegas. I just took that person's word for it.

But, I also could find no evidence of another Robert Oliver Seafood Restaurant. FoiGras

If you searched the chowhound for Robert Oliver... there is not anything good to be said at all. Personally, I know a few months ago they were closed down by the health department for a bit.. and the only other activity I see there is late night parties in the style of Red Maple or Brass Elephant.. meaning with a metal detector. That is a cursed location and every local restaurateur knows it. Ergo, the space will either be empty, a chain, or not a restaurant.
