<content>I have been an avid Chowhound reader, but this is my first post. I am putting on a Wine and Cheese Party for my sister's bridal shower. I had my list of pairings all ready to go, mom bought the wine, and with a $20 budget I went to Trader Joe's to buy cheese, only to come home with several cheeses that weren't on my original list. Now I feel like I'm studying for the LSAT again trying to put them together in the right ways. I was planning on having 3 tables, Intense/Unusual Flavor Table, Red Table, White Table that I had laid out:

1. Port &amp; Gorgonzola
Gewurztraminer &amp; Carmel covered Goat Cheese

2. Cabernet Sav. &amp; Sharp Cheddar
    Shiraz &amp; Smoked Gouda
    Bordeaux &amp; Havarti

3. Riesling &amp; Brie (maybe baked with a fruit chutney)
    Asti Spumanti &amp; Baby Swiss

Now I also have Emmental and Gruyere, as well as Apple Cranberry and Mango Ginger Chuntney I would like to use (I was thinking on a baked brie), and pesto. Any and all suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

<content>Sounds good; a few tweaks if it were my party; keep in mind this is all very subjective.

1
- Port with Stilton
- Gewurztraminer with Goat Cheese (no caramel) and Mango Ginger Chutney

2
- Cab Sauv. with an aged cheddar
- Shiraz with gouda
- Bordeaux with havarti

3
- Asti Spumanti with baked brie and apple cranberry chutney
- Riesling with emmental and/or gruyere
