Fairground food: Grange Fair, York, Allentown Fairs

Dan D Aug 17, 2009 10:17 AM

With the county fair season upon us, would like some chowhounds to cue me in on their best discoveries in the three big upcoming fairs: Grange Fair in Centre Hall, York Fair and Allentown Fair. Bloomsburg probably deserves its own post.

What stand-out goodies do you only find at the fairs, and are looking forward to trying again?

What surprising food stands have caught your fancy and call you to return again next year?

I'm easy to please, Ague's milkshakes, sugar waffles, fresh-squeezed orange juice, and Snyder's or Troutman's fries say "it's Fair time!" to me. What's yours?

I've been enjoying some Harvey's BBQ at the E-town fair all week.
