New Kosher Restaurant in Evanston, IL
I just heard there might be a new restaurant opening in Evanston, IL on Howard called Manghal - possibly a meat BBQ - has anyone else heard anything similar?

Was by there tonight. There is a sign that says Manghal, but the part indicating Kosher Testaurant is folded over on one sign and cut off of a second.
So maybe that's a security issue, or maybe its still undecided.
In any case they are making progress on the facility.

I just saw they are listed on CRC's web site so indeed they will be kosher but still have not seen anything else -

I am still holding out hope for another Moroccan/Tunisian palce since the one on Dempster closed several years ago. Always enjoy a good bastilla. I'm also on the hunt for muhamarra. I know it's relatively easy to make, but it's such a good condiment that I'd love to see it used more often.

I was told that the waitress does not speak English or Hebrew and did not know what a hot dog was! I sure hope the person was joking!
