Bar Jules~what a gem!
We ate at Bar Jules on Friday evening. We arrived a bit after 6 and were seated right away. Within 20 minutes the place was full. Each course absolutely sparkled. We had: summer pisou soup-light and delicious, proscuitto with melon and olives, seared scallops atop the most divine creamed corn and the fresh plum frangipane tart for dessert. Service was great.
This might be our new favorite place in SF.
I agree. I had lunch there a couple weeks ago and had the most delicious corn soup and a duck sandwhich that was awfully tasty. For dessert a really dense chocolate cake that I loved. There was one server handling the entire restaurant which could have been a total disaster (we did have to wait a bit for the check), by the time we left there was not a table to be had.
