Boucherie closed?

Two friends tried to go tonight. It's closed, and their website is down. Anyone know if the closure is permanent?

  1. Oops--sorry, missed thread on this topic below.

    1. I heard via word of mouth they were closed for September, then googled and found a cached version of their website stating the same. They had no reopening date listed. I would not be suprised if this was a permanent thing simply as I have seen so many restaurants close briefly for a "break" or "vacation" and never be open again. It was the website being down coupled with the information that I received that made me believe this. If so, that's too bad. Best of luck to them. I enjpoyed the place!

      1. On the other hand, many restaurants do close for 2-4 weeks during the summer. Not necessarily a death knell.

        1. Boucherie is scheduled to reopen on September 9th. They took a well deserved month off. I was at the restaurant on its last open night. Nathaniel busted out some great specials. I do not know why the website is down. I know I am new to the board as a poster, but I am an avid reader. I do not know of any reason why they would not reopen. The restaurant is a financial success and Nathaniel is still enjoying cooking for everyone. I am not affiliated with Boucherie in any way. Just a big fan.

True..not trying to be negative, but have just seen this sad thing happen too many times. I would not assume it was the case with Boucherie, but in these economic times, you never know. Glad to hear that they are reopening and taking a much needed respite from their busy schedule.

          2. I too am glad it's going to reopen--have been meaning to go for months but haven't gotten a chance to try it yet.
