Dinner $50/pp or under, new awesome place?

We need a restaurant rec stat! We wanted to try out Una Pizza Napoletana but apparently he closed temporarily....We have done Dovetail, Babbo, Inoteca, Pio Pio, Gramercy Tavern, A Cafe and everywhere in between....we are real food and wine lovers looking for some good food, not outrageously priced where we can relax a bit. Anywhere in Manhattan is ok.

Try: Apiary (FANTASTIC wine program), The Standard Grill, Bar Artisanal

Is Resto still any good? I continued going even after Ryan Skeen left, and it was all downhill. Shame, I miss their liege waffles.

I love the $30 prix fixe dinners at Momofuku noodle bar. The menu is usually posted on line, and it changes daily. But if you keep kosher, kosherbride, it might not be the best choice, since their menu features a lot of pork and shellfish.

kosherbride did not indicate any restrictions with regard to pork and shellfish. And the Noodle Bar aside, someone who keeps kosher when dining out would not be going to any of the restaurants she listed in her post.

I agree with the recs for Aldea.

          I also love:

          Harbour
          Olana

Just to be accurate, Una Pizza has closed permanently, and the space will become Motorino, also a pizza spot.

Aldea and Allegretti are the two I would recommend.

Have you tried Forge by Marco Forgine (Or something like that) in Tribeca? I liked it a lot. I went a couple of weeks ago and thought it was a very nice place. The food and the wine were good and the restaurant is beautiful. I recommend it highly.

I like the look of this place. If it's like father, like son, must be good.

Perhaps in a more similar vein to UPN would be Keste. Pizza and wine sounds good to me right now too ;o)
