Japanese markets in the SF valley

Just wondering if anyone know where there is a japanese market in he valley I found chinese and korean but alas nothing from Japan. I know about the sawtelle area in west LA, but would like something closer even Thousand Oakes environ would be ok.

    Unfortunately, there is nothing. Closest would be Mitsuwa on Centinela in Venice.

      Try the Galleria Market in Northridge. While they are a Korean market they also carry a lot of Japanese food items.

        Yes I've ben to the Galleria Market but they did not have the japanese ice ea I was looking for, they had many korean ones tho.

          Oddly enough, you might want to try Fish King in Glendale. It is run by a Japanese-American family and they have a wide variety of Japanese foods including ice cream, Plus their fish and prepared foods are excellent.
