I went in about a week ago out of curiosity. I had already bought fresh bread that day, so I didn't buy anything. The front part of the store is cavernous and looked like they weren't fully set up yet. Lots of empty space. Maybe they are planning on stocking other products.

They had a loaf of 'butter tart bread' cut up for tasting. Of course, the phrase 'butter tart' always gets my attention, but the bread wasn't exciting. Just plain sweet bread with some crumbly sugar topping. boring!

But I will go back next time I'm over there, as the other breads looked and smelled fantastic. Would love to hear from someone that has tried a full loaf of something :)

I went today mid-afternoon, so understandably they did not have a lot of selection left. I think their focus is breads and simple treats like cookies. They were also selling Bagel House bagels. They seem to have a number of items that will only be available some days - challah on Fridays, cinnamon buns on the weekends. I don't think they are doing much in the way of cakes, pies, savouries or croissant/brioche/danish-type things.
We bought two items - the chocolate chip cookies are quite good, hit all the right butter/vanilla/adequate salt notes (the last chocolate chip cookie I bought, from Marvellous Edibles, seemed to have no salt at all, a fatal flaw IMO). They were also fresh and baked through, crispy-but-not-too-crispy, rather than the underbaked style which I am personally totally over. All that said would I make a special trip for this cookie, no. The other item we got was not a hit for both flavour and texture reasons.
A lot of the breads looked like the white & fluffy variety, there were some baguettes and a boule that looked crustier and more interesting. But not enough selection left to really judge.
I think this place has potential, for the neighbourhood anyway.
