Need a quick restaurant reccomendation for Lakewood, OH
Running up to Lakewood tomorrow and would like to have a great lunch. We are foodies, but enjoy a good dive every now and then. Extra points for perch and walleye offerings with a lake view! Thanks.

The Buckeye Beer Engine is right across the street from Melt. I've only been to Melt once, but I wasn't nearly as impressed as I've been at the Beer Engine. I've become a regular there. They may still have the soup they had on my last visit is probably still available - portabella and bell pepper. It was fantastic. Speaking of soup, their tomato soup is also excellent. I prefer it to the one at Melt. Of course, besides that there isn't much direct comparison between the two. If you want a wide selection of grilled cheese piled high with toppings then the Beer Engine doesn't have that. Of course, they do have an excellent grilled cheese. It just comes with a burger patty on top. And another grilled cheese sandwich on top of that.
Another excellent choice would be El Tango. They also have great soup. I'm especially fond of the green chile stew but they're all great. So are the tacos. And the fajitas that they just added to the menu. And just about every other thing I've ever had there. It's not seasonal or local, but the food is as tasty as any restaurant in the city.

Melt is a popular spot for lunch, but I'm unaware of a fish place with a view on the near west side.
