BYOB restaurants
Does anyone have a list of NO rest. that are BYOB or have no corkage fees? Several friends wanted to try Baru but I heard they are no longer BYOB, so we are looking to try somewhere else. Suggestions?

Eat on Dauphine St (between St Ann and Duman) in the French Quarter. Really nice, clean space. Good food, GREAT brunch.

I know that Cafe Atchafalaya is temporarily BYOB, but not sure if that is still the case. The food is great!

Also, Bennachin (African) in the FQ on Royal St. Cash only!

Is SukoThai in the Marigny still BYO? I know they were applying for a variance so they could get a liquor license (there's some weird zoning glitch because they're in a residential building, but the restaurant was grandfathered in).

Jazmine Cafe, la Macarena on Hampson St., and Lola's on Esplanade.
Eat is my favorite BYOB place though. I have brought groups there and we had a fantastic evening every time. My only complaint about Eat is the desserts - not gross, just nothing special.

We decided on Cafe Atchafalya for location and type of food. They are temporarily without a liquor license, and there was no corkage fee. It was a great choice - food was delicious and service was suberb. We had a couple of specials - a free form mushroom and crabmeat ravioli, fried soft shell crab over corn macque choux (sp?), fried green tomatoes topped with lump crabmeat and stuffed flounder with crawfish.

Lil Dizzy's in Treme is BYOB. If you bring a bottle of bubbly to brunch they'll mix you up mimosoas.
