Birthday Dinner in D.C.

I'm looking for a semi-upscale atmosphere for a friend's birthday dinner in D.C. tomorrow. Given our varying incomes, we'd like a price range that hits in the teens as well as the 20s. We'd prefer something close to the Adams Morgan area, but are open to anything in the District. No preference on type of cuisine really. American is always safe, but open to Italian, Mexican, etc.

    1. Some fun places that fit your price range are Lauriol Plaza (Mexican in Northern Dupont/Adams Morgan), Sette Osteria (Italian--pizzas, pasta etc in Dupont with outdoor dining), Regent Thai (My favorite thai restaurant in Northern Dupont/Adams Morgan), and Casa Oaxaca (really yummy authentic Mexican, affordable prices and great moles in Adams Morgan).

Thank you! I've never been to Regent Thai or Casa Oaxaca before. They sound delicious!

Both are really good...and I know for sure Casa Oaxaca takes reservations (which depending on the size of your group, might be necessary). The drinks at both are also good.

Regent is very good - my boyfriend LOVES their panang salmon. Lauriol is definitely cheaper, though.

                2. Perry's, L'Enfant, Bistro Du Coin,, Rosemary Thyme...
