Good Food/Great Service

I wanted to single out 2 restaurants which, I feel, have above average food enhanced by superior service.

Earlier this week, I took an out of town colleague to the Barking Crab for lunch. The entire staff from the manager to the waitress to the servers couldn't have been friendlier or more solicitous. This atmosphere truly improved our dining experience.

Also, Dunn and Gaherin's in Newton is a pub that always brings to mind friendly, attentive service to supplement their good food.

My father-in-law used to say "You can't eat atmosphere", but positive attitudes from the staff surely makes dining out more enjoyable.

I went to Dunn and Gaherin's years ago and the food was good. The service was so friendly, I almost felt uncomfortable.

Friendly service? They can't be New Englanders!

I guess it's because I'm a New Englander I felt so uncomfortable. They went way out of their way to make sure we had everything we wanted.
