Driving Carlsbad to Redondo - Looking for someplace great for lunch off the 405

I know there was another post similar to this, but it focused on more of the west la, el segundo portion of the drive. I am driving up today, and would love to go someplace great for lunch. Looking for anything from fried chicken, vietnamese, dim sum, sushi - no indian please (I am meeting with a client afterwards.)

I ended up at Capital Seafood Dim Sum. Got some xlb, har gow, and a couple other items. Perfect! Thank You for the recs.

In Costa Mesa, I would recommend Old Vine Cafe.

Wow, probably too late for today, but for lunches just off the 405 in WLA-El Segundo, I would steer you to Pann's for fried chicken.
Saigon Dish in Lawndale for good pho.
Monte Alban for great Oaxuacan, try the chicken and rice or barbacoa taco.
For sushi lunch, I would recommend Kiriko's omakase lunch only.

I think that Pann's would be too far north of his departure and destination cities and Kiriko and Monte Alban (even if it weren't closed due to the recent fire) would both be even farther north of his starting and stopping cities than Pann's to be practical for this particular request.

We like all three of them (Pann's is on our regular rotation). Just really sad about Monte Alban being taken out of the equation. Looks like Juquila will be getting more business now. I've never been to Saigon Dish. Thanks for the heads up on it.
