Took my child to the Orthodontist in Newton Centre and noticed that Flippen Burgers has closed it's doors. That's too bad because I enjoyed their burgers and fries.
According to my son, who has a friend who works there, they are only closed for vacation.
That's funny because my kids heard about it on facebook. If they were on vacation don't you think they would put a sign on the door?
Absolutely. I should have made clear that I wasn't vouching for that info. It's from the adolescent grapevine, so take it for what it's worth.
??? -- I was just there on Friday. No indication anything was amiss.
Did this just happen? Their Web site is still up and their phone is still working (though no one is answering). Didn't realize they had closed....
Such a weird, cursed location. To be honest, though, their service was still very buggy a year after opening, and I didn't find their burgers to be outstanding.
Burgers were average for sure but there isn't much in the way of similar places in that part of the suburbs. I will miss it if only for the convenience.
