Looking to purchase some pine nuts, as my basil plants are looking ready to go. Any suggestions where to purchase? I was thinking Lawrence West?
Just about any health food store should have them. If you don't find them in the refrigerator section, don't buy them. They need cold storage.
Thanks. I realize they are not inexpensive. Would prefer to pay more for quality, and proper stored.Cheers
If you have a costco membership, they have a huge bag, very good quality, and stays in the refrigerator for ages.
thanks, going to head there today to get a hunk of parmagian
I find that using walnuts is a cheaper and very legitimate substitute.
just returned from costco, 22.99 for 680 grams. Thought the walnut option was viable, but went with the pine nuts. Going to follow traditional method, toast nuts or not?
