Iowa State Fair

Starts tomorrow. Going this year for the first time in 3 or 4 or 5 years, I don't remember.
Anything new I need to know about? Anyone from Iowa here?
For anyone that reads this, the big deal this year was that after Michael Jackson died, they decided to sculpt him in butter. There was a public outcry (in Iowa that means 6 people bitched), so it was put to a vote on the fairs website, and was soundly rejected. So, if you if were coming to see MJ in butter, make other plans.
But have no fear, there is still grease to be found in countless places.
Last time there it was Cajun Chicken, of course, on a stick. When hot sauce is a ready condiment, I'm down.
Are you going? What are you most looking forward to?

We're making the annual family trek tomorrow. I'm looking forward to:

    Cheese curds
    Shakes at the Dairy Building
    Tater Graters
    Pork chop on a stick
    Wonder Bar
    Lots of lemonade and beer!
And my BIL loves the Beef Sundae!

There are about 7 of us, so we can eat bites of a LOT of things. Our favorite summer day!
