Tempura Bar

Is there a good one out there? Used to go to Tokyo Kaikan and then to Kyoto in downtown, but both have disappered. Any place where I can get great tempura?

Isn't there a place called (simply) Tempura Bar, on Sawtelle Blvd., next door to Granada Market? I've never been, but with a name like that, I suppose it's worth trying...

100 Cranes atop the New Otani hotel downtown LA, has had an excellent Tempura Bar since the 80's.
I have not been there for 6 yrs but I have never had better

I absolutely agree with the Thousand Cranes recommendation. A friend took me there recently and I was stunned at how good it was. I cant wait to go again soon.

Another vote for 1000 cranes over Komatsu.
